Episode 1

A world without climate change is possible, and the solutions could benefit us all. But to get there, we need politicians to act. So Kevin McCloud, Mary Portas and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall take their personal fight to the heart of government, demanding change that could unlock a greener economy, give us cheaper energy, and lower our utility bills. As they chase Cabinet Ministers reluctant to meet them, and take their fight to the airwaves and streets, they meet the businesses and communities who say they are being held back from going greener, by existing laws and regulations that are blocking the climate fight. Mary Portas tackles government subsidies of the oil and gas industry, Kevin McCloud asks why British houses are so shockingly expensive to heat, and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall demands we stop blocking cheapest form of energy in the UK: onshore wind.

Episode 2

Mary Portas discovers the government are giving oil and gas more than £2 billion in tax breaks every year and tries to hold Chancellor Jeremy Hunt to account. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall can’t get a meeting with the Energy Secretary to discuss the blocks to onshore wind, so starts a poster campaign calling him out. And Kevin McCloud finally tracks down Michael Gove, to implore him to raise housing standards.
